Prepare for the Interview
Important Guidelines to Review in preparation for an interview:

  • Plan to arrive 15 minutes early for your appointment.

  • Dress conservatively and professionally — a navy blue or black suit is always appropriate.

  • Greet the interviewer with a smile and a firm handshake while establishing direct eye contact.

  • Establish good eye contact early in the interview and maintain it consistently through your hand shake and good by.

  • Body language: Energy! Sit towards the edge of your seat and show enthusiasm.

  • What to bring? Bring a professional portfolio with at least three extra copies of your resume. Take notes during the interview.

  • Be specific, clear and concise in your answers do not ramble — consider this a Cardinal Rule! If unsure of how much detail the interviewer wants, give an overview, and ask if the interviewer would like more specific information.

  • Don't ever lower your level of interest and enthusiasm during the interview. If after the interview, you decide not to pursue the position, you have still left a positive impression with someone who may have another opportunity in the future or who may refer you to someone else with a more exciting position.

  • It is critical to be properly prepared for every job interview. The most important thing to remember is to be yourself, relax, specify your specific skills and accomplishments that relate to the job.

  • Immediately after the interview has concluded, call your Consultant. We will go to work directly to help you get the job.
